US Attorney General William Barr is being replaced by Donald Trump after the pair clashed among public tensions.
Barr, who authorised the Department of Justice to look into alleged “voting irregularities”, is being replaced by Jeff Rosen on December 23. But who is Mr Barr’s wife Christine?

William Barr is married to Christine Moynihan.
Christine is a graduate of English from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and later served on the college board.
She gained a Masters in library science from Catholic University in 1975.
She went on to become a librarian at the IMF and Georgetown University before working at Stone Ridge School in Bethesda, Maryland.
When did William Barr and Christine get married?
Christine married William Pelham “Bill” Barr in 1973, the same year he began working for the CIA and she received her Bachelor’s in English.
Her husband became United States Attorney General in 2019 after a stint in the post from 1991 to 1993.
According to Forbes, Barr has a net worth of $40million gained while working in the private sector.
He joined GTE Corporation in 1994, which then merged with Bell Atlantic to form Verizon in 2000.
From 2001 to 2007, he earned an average of $1.7million in annual salary and bonuses and also received valuable stock options.
He will be replaced by Donald Trump as US Attorney General on December 23, 2020.
The president took to Twitter to confirm that he had met with the outgoing attorney general.
“Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job!” he wrote.
“As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family.”
Trump and Barr had collided over the president’s baseless claims of election fraud and the investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son.
How many children do Christine and William have?
The couple share three daughters: Mary, Patricia and Meg.
Their eldest daughter Mary previously worked for the Department of Justice where she was a former federal prosecutor.
While at the DOJ Mary prosecuted gang members and drug traffickers and in 2018 she became the Director of Opioid Enforcement and Prevention Efforts in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General.
In 2019, she left and began working in the Treasury Department’s financial crimes unit.
Their second eldest child Patricia was a member of the counsel for the House Agriculture Committee.
Meg, their youngest child, was a Washington prosecutor and counsel for the Republican Senator Mike Braun.
Meg’s husband Tyler McGaughey left the U.S. Attorney’s office in Virginia to join the White House Counsel’s office in 2019.
