ABC news correspondent Kaylee Hartung was announced as one of the hosts of the upcoming Hulu special about the newest royal baby.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had their daughter Lilibet at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on Friday, June 4.
Who is ABC correspondent Kaylee Hartung?
Kaylee Hartung is a reporter for ABC News.
Previously, she was a reporter for CNN and for ESPN, where she contributed to the SEC Network, primarily on the show SEC Nation.
Following a summer internship with NBC, she began her career as an assistant to Bob Schieffer, which led to an associate producer position on the Sunday public affairs program Face the Nation.
Hartung earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and politics from Washington and Lee University, graduating in 2007.
When did Kaylee Hartung have coronavirus?
The broadcaster revealed she tested positive for Covid-19 in early March 2020 in a video message on the ABC show, adding that she felt guilty about being one of the few people to get tested.
She said: “We’ve all heard that these test kits are so valuable, that there aren’t enough for all the people who want to get tested. I’ll tell you, I feel guilty that I’m someone who was able to get one.”
The 34-year-old listed her symptoms as she chatted to anchor Robin Robert.
She said: “It really all started with a runny nose about a week ago, and that was four days after I spent a week in Seattle covering the initial outbreak of the virus in the U.S..
“So last Wednesday, it was just a runny nose. I honestly thought it was allergies. I didn’t think it was anything more than that. I woke up the next morning, just last Thursday — and you know when you wake up, and you know something’s wrong immediately? You just feel it in your body.
“I’ve had the feeling before when I’ve had the flu, when my body is just broken down when I’ve gone too hard and have been run down. I knew something was off as soon as I woke up, and that’s when I started consulting medical professionals.
“I wasn’t having any sort of a dry cough, I didn’t have any shortness of breath, and I didn’t feel any pressure on my chest.”
However, she did experience a headache “right between the eyes,” body aches, and lower back pain.
