In the most simplistic manner, U.S. President Donald Trump"s words two months ago last September at the U.N. General Assembly gets to the heart of all the issues of war and peace, economic development, or genocide:

"Looking around and all over this large and magnificent planet, the truth is plain to see. If you want freedom, take pride in your country. If you want democracy, hold on to your sovereignty. And if you want peace, love your nation. Wise leaders always put the good of their own people and their own country first. The future does not belong to the globalists. The future belongs to the patriots. The future belongs to sovereign and independent nations who protect their citizens, respect their neighbors, and honor the differences that make each country special and unique."

To stop the realization of this, currently, all the embedded assets of the empire are being mobilized without regard to the consequences of their being exposed as such.  Whether it is the Catholic right wing in Latin America triggered by the Pope Francis recent attack on Christianity and the coup in Bolivia, or the Azov Battalion in Ukraine, Steve Bannon and the "right" , or the so miscalled "left" eco-fascist apparatus of the climate emergency, or a myriad of other operations, it is all being mobilized, everything, no matter how flaky or flimsy, violent or not.  To them Trump and what he said at the U.N. is the nightmare of a new paradigm coming into being that will end this criminal and genocidal world system and realize the promise that exists in the creative nature of humanity.

Nothing could be more desperate than the hearings on 11/20/19 before Adam Schiff and the House Intelligence Committee.  One Ambassador, Sondland, testified that he had a "presumption."   That is Sondland said he PRESUMED without any evidence that a diplomatic "quid pro quo" existed.   When asked what Trump told him in a conversation when Sondland asked Trump what he wanted with Ukrainian President Zelenski, Trump told Sondland "nothing, no quid pro quo, just tell him to do what he ran on..."  On a mere presumption of a diplomatic quid pro quo, the crime of 'bribery" has been established by the media, and the overthrow of the President can now proceed, or so we are told.  What we are being told is increasingly further and further away from reality, and now innocence is guilt and guilt is innocence.   Is this the nightmare of George Orwell, or the end of the system of empire?
