AN Influencer who tattooed her sphynx cat has been blasted by animal lovers after she posted pics on Instagram showing off her inked-up pet.
Fitness fanatic Elena Ivanickaya, from Chernihiv in Ukraine, decided to have an image of a Winged Anubis – an Egyptian God – inked onto her pet Sphinx’s chest.
Now animal lovers are telling the Instagrammer with over 72,000 followers that she “needs help” after inflicting “extreme abuse” on her feline.
Elena was hit with mass backlash when she got her cat tattoed back in 2017.
Photos show the bald moggy unconscious while being pinned down under anaesthetic as the tattoo artist carries out his work.
Dumbstruck Elena hit back, saying the spoilt cat, who has its own Instagram page and eats fresh oysters, leads a better life than the people complaining.
She also defended her actions saying the cat wasn’t harmed in any way.
She said: “This cat’s life is better then yours. Maybe it is hell for you, but he feels just fine. He has not been castrated and he never will be, this would be real cruelty.
“I checked with the vet before getting him a tattoo and they were fine with it and a vet was present while they were doing the tattoo, so everything was under control.”
She added: “The cat is treated with love and care… he is very smart and enjoys his happy life. The tattoo was made on the upper layer of skin.
“Only 1-2 millimetres, he did not feel any pain. Right after the procedure he behaved normally and started to go on with his normal routine.”
But now after posting another photo of her cat today she has outraged the internet once again.
She posted the snap with the caption “haters missed Yasha.”
Hundreds of comments called the influencer out for “animal abuse” and branded her a “sick, sick person.”
One woman lashed out saying: “This is not ok, delete this and seek professional help.
“Wow, Someone come save this poor baby,”
Another added: “I don’t understand how you can do something like that to your cat when you don’t even have tattoos.
“Did you think that this would give you more followers on the spot?
“You’re a hypocrite, you deserve to have your cat taken away from you,”
A third said: “Animal abuse isn’t something to be proud of. You want a tattoo, then do it on your skin, not on your cat.
“If this is real you should be ashamed of yourself. “This is animal abuse and you are seriously messed up in the head … you sick sick person.”
