SADISTIC Joanna Dennehy’s ex has revealed his torment at living with the “jealous and abusive” serial killer who threatened other mums in the playground.
The monster killed three men and attacked two more during a bloody rampage in 2013 that became known as the Peterborough Ditch Murders.
A chilling new documentary has revealed how “unpredictable” Dennehy, 37, tried to control everyone around her as she carried out her reign of terror.
John Treanor, who was in an on-off relationship with the killer for 12 years, has opened up about his torment at living with the “abusive” fiend.
The 42-year-old, who has two children with Dennehy, told Quest Red show The Killer In My Family: “She was threatening female friends of mine up the school.
“I was even pulled in with a social worker, headteacher, and my daughter’s teacher who basically said she can’t come up to the school anymore because she was threatening people that I was talking to.
“She liked to control me in so many different ways.”
‘I WISH I COULD KILL SOMEONE’
John met Dennehy in St Albans in 1998 while she was walking her dog aged 15 and she fell pregnant with their first child two years later.
He finally walked out with their kids when she came home drunk in 2009 and pulled a dagger from the inside of her boot.
She plunged the knife into the living room floor and yelled: “I wish I could kill someone.”
Four years later, John received a text from Dennehy’s sister saying she’d been arrested for murder.
The dad revealed Dennehy had often taken their two girls to the dykes in Peterborough where she would later dump the bodies of her first three victims.
‘FLIRTS’ WITH COPS
Harrowing CCTV featured in the documentary shows how Dennehy compared her grisly killing spree to “going down for a Sunday roast”.
She even “flirts” with the officers interviewing her and plays with her hair despite two men she attacked, who survived, fighting for their lives in hospital.
Speaking in the documentary, Forensic Criminologist Dr. Jane Monckton Smith said Dennehy revelled in the attention as she was held for murder and attempted murder.
She added: “This person is not anxious or concerned or remorseful that she’s been arrested.
“She was almost, I would say, enjoying it. She was flirting with the officers, she was smiling, she was leaning across the desk in a very familiar way.”
PETERBOROUGH DITCH MURDERS
Dennehy, 36, was given a full-life sentence for the savage murders of Lukasz Slaboszewski, John Chapman and Kevin Lee over a ten-day period in March 2013.
Branded “pure evil” by criminology experts, Dennehy, of Peterborough, Cambs, said she committed the murders because it was “moreish and fun”.
Her victims’ bodies were found in ditches in Cambridgeshire, which led the gruesome killing spree to become known as the Peterborough Ditch murders.
Lukasz, 31, a Polish national, had met Dennehy a few days earlier when he was stabbed in the heart.
The following week, 56-year-old Falklands veteran John Chapman was knifed to death by Dennehy, who later that day murdered her landlord and lover Kevin Lee, 48.
His body — dressed in a black sequin dress — was found the next day with stab wounds in the neck and chest.
It was reported that Dennehy had wanted to kill nine men in total, to be like killers Bonnie and Clyde.
She was caught two days after going on the run when police launched a triple murder probe.
At the Old Bailey, judge Mr Justice Spencer told her: Although you pleaded guilty, you’ve made it quite clear you have no remorse.”
“You are a cruel, calculating, selfish and manipulative serial killer.”
