COUNTING On’s Jessa Duggar slammed her sister-in-law’s choice for a wedding gown as ‘a little too low’.
The 27-year-old appeared on TLC’s Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta to find the perfect but also modest wedding dress for her husband’s sister, who is getting married.
In an exclusive clip of the show, Jessa and her sister-in-law, Jessica, are picking out her wedding dress with the help of Jessica’s mom and friend.
However, after they all come to the decision of picking one simple gown that showed a little bit of skin, they all retracted when they noticed that it revealed a lot more than they intended.
When Jessica tried on the Matthew Christopher gown, she stared at herself in confusion and said: “It’s definitely not what I thought it was going to be.
“It’s very wedding-like. I actually really like this top.”
And when asked if it was too revealing, she said she didn’t think so and that she was excited because someone in her entourage had picked it out.
Tensions ran high when it was pointed out that the dress was showing quite some skin.
Though the bride-to-be loved the dress, her entourage wasn’t all that happy with it.
One of them said: “I’m really surprised that I picked it because it’s super low. It’s too much.”
Jessa chimed in and claimed: “Yeah, it’s a little low.”
The mother finally gave her opinion and said: “Speaking on behalf of your mother and me, I think it’s a little low. No, that’s not the dress.
“I’m not going back to Arkansas with that dress.”
Jessica is about to marry Elijah Barger.
Jessica’s potential dress is a far cry from what Jessa wore to her own wedding to Ben – with whom she has three children.
She chose a dress with a pretty high neckline, sleeves, and pink.
The mother of three is the daughter Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who have raised their kids to be very modest, simple, and religious.
