BAD Bunny has been a regular in the charts in recent years with his unique Latin trap sound.
But is the Puerto Rican rapper hanging up the microphone for good, ahead of his recent tour announcement? Here is what we know so far…
Is this going to be Bad Bunny’s final tour?
Bad Bunny has announced El Último Tour del Mundo 2022—a tour named after his 2020 studio album of the same name. The tour’s name is translated as “The Last World Tour”.
The tour will see the artist travel across North America in a two-month period between February and April of next year.
His announcement video for the tour saw a cameo appearance from WWE star Triple H, who praised Bad Bunny’s performance in the ring at WrestleMania 37 earlier this month.
Some rumours have suggested that this may be Bad Bunny’s final tour, given some recent cryptic clues from the rapper implying he could be close to calling time on his music career.
Is he retiring?
The name of both the album and tour is a big enough clue, but the video that came alongside the album launch has also led to many questions.
The film featured the rapper announcing in a press conference that he would be retiring from music, before flicking to him watching said press conference on TV and browsing through his albums.
There have even been clues in some of his lyrics, with fans noticing that his song Carazon features the lyrics: “In nine months I’ll come back and take another, to retire quietly like Miguel Cotto.”
However, that lyrics came from the February 2019 album Yo Hago Lo Que Me De La Gana, meaning it has now been longer than the nine month period in which he implied he would retire.
How can I get tickets?
Bad Bunny has not yet revealed to his fans where his tickets will be released. Often tickets for major concerts like these are sold through Ticketmaster.
Bad Bunny also has his own Tour merch website which could be worth keeping an eye on.
It has been confirmed that tickets will go on sale on April 16 at 12 pm.
The rap star will be performing in Washington, DC, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Jose, Seattle, Portland, Englewood, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Hidalgo, El Paso, Denver, Rosemont, Villaldivia, Newark, Brooklyn, Boston, Charlotte Atlanta, Orlando and Miami.
