HE’S a tough guy actor but there are two people Idris Elba won’t cross — his mum and wife.
The actor says partner Sabrina and mother Eve have banned him boxing.
He wanted to get back in the ring after a successful first pro kickboxing match in 2016.
But a fight with the two women in his life was one he couldn’t win and he’s now thrown in the towel.
On fighting, Idris said: “I really did think about developing an idea (for a film) around an ageing fighter, which means I will get back into the ring.
“But my wife was not good with the idea and neither was my mum. They are like, ‘Cut that nonsense out’.”
Luther star Idris, also a DJ and rapper, had the bout in London’s York Hall with Madonna watching.
In a chat with fellow Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey on streaming site Fane, he said: “The idea of going back (fighting) excites me but I don’t need to fight some kid again.”
He has been working on Elba’s Fight School for the BBC, teaching disadvantaged kids life lessons through boxing, so his timing isn’t great.
Bella a vinyl single
BELLA Hadid won’t be single for long if she carries on posting pictures like this.
She posed in black vinyl gloves and a racy bra for yet another photoshoot.
Sharing the sizzling Instagram pictures with her 34.6million followers, the model wrote: “In your heart u know what’s right.”
Bella may be willing to flash the flesh – but when it comes to romance she’s coy.
Her team have denied rumours she is dating American actor Duke Nicholson.
She is believed to have been single since three-time Grammy winner The Weeknd ended their on/off relationship in August last year.
With photos like this she’s not short of offers.
Praising the supermodel’s modern take on an Audrey Hepburn-inspired look, one fan asked her to marry him.
PRIYANKA Chopra Jonas loved lockdown with hubby Nick.
She said: “I still like him after spending so much time with him. It only took a pandemic to align our schedules.”
West rap for label
HE is believed to be worth around £3.8billion – but even so, Kanye West has a lot of saving up to do for his next purchase.
The rapper has claimed he is going to buy major record label Universal for £25.3billion.
Kanye says he would rather do that than pay them to own his masters – the term given to the rights to an artist’s back catalogue – after a row erupted between the two parties last month.
He moaned of the music industry: “It’s not a safe place. It’s a treacherous place.
“At this point music loses me money. Of my $5billion net worth, music is a negative $4million.
“I was thinking about buying my masters, but I realised that’s too small of a thought.
“I’m gonna buy Universal. They’re only a $33billion organisation.”
In a candid interview with podcast Joe Rogan Experience that ran for three hours he suggested he backed conspiracy theories that pop stars Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Prince and martial arts stars Bruce Lee and his son Brandon were killed.
And the passionate Jesus Walks star even weighed in on the debate over the Star Wars prequels and sequels, saying he was a much bigger fan of the former.
Kanye insisted the films made by creator George Lucas had much more quality than those made after Disney bought the movie franchise in the 2012.
He said: “I’m saying the prequels are better than anything and I’m sorry Disney/Star Wars design team, no man, this is George. This is his baby.
“That thing was set in his heart to show us as children to show us the hero’s journey.”
No topic is off-limits for Yeezy, but given he’s running for US president, maybe he should focus on that instead.
DRAKE is to return with his next album Certified Lover Boy in January.
He announced the news in a video on social media to coincide with his 34th birthday at the weekend.
Tallia’s telly bid to Storm the charts
TALLIA Storm is hoping her stints on reality TV will propel her to pop stardom.
The Glasgow-born musician has appeared on The X Factor, Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Karaoke Club and is confident it will help – especially as former Love Island star Wes Nelson hit No6 in the charts on Friday with his song See Nobody.
Tallia, who will release new tune Kinda Savage, Kinda Sweet on Friday, said: “All the record labels are trying to get their acts on TV.
“Two years ago they were laughing at people like me who were on telly, but now being digital is so important.
“Wes has proved himself with patience, time and commitment and that’s what I’m all about too.”

They wed last month in Vegas.

It’s Rag ‘N’ Moan
RAG’N’BONE MAN has moaned about not being able to take drugs because he has to look after his young son Reuben.
In an Instagram story posted in the early hours of yesterday, the Human singer said: “Whose idea was it to have children?
“I could have been in a caravan in Bristol doing DMT right now.”
DMT is a hallucinogenic Class A drug.
I’m not sure whether it was a joke or not but comments like that aren’t particularly savoury.
