THE BROWNS from Sister Wives sold their properties to relocate to Arizona for Robyn’s son, who got a scholarship to the university.
The homes that were apparently sold took a cut and sold for less than what the asking price was.
Here is more about the Browns and their decision.
Why did the Browns sell their home?
The Browns have been going through financial difficulties since the premier of season 14.
In one episode, the situation between Janelle and Kody got heavy as he was explaining the difficulty it has been for them to sell their Vegas home.
The family was already living in Arizona and were counting on the sale of their Vegas home to cash in extra money.
“I’ve been coming back to Vegas every weekend to hold open houses at the homes that we have that are on the market,” Janelle Brown explained in the episode.
“There’s been no interest in the homes,” she added.
Aside from selling their home, the family also listed all the Sister Wives’ homes.
Janelle’s home was sold in April of 2019 for $575,000 and the house also had trouble selling.
It was put on the market on October 9, 2018 and cut three times before the listing was removed.
Meri sold her home in June of 2019 for $574,900 and took a cut considering it originally listed for $599,900 early in 2019.
Kody and Robyn also purchased the most expensive home in Flagstaff out of all the wives.
The couple bought a 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom home for $890,000 despite financial troubles.
Why did the Browns move to Arizona?
Fans believe that it was due to Robyn’s son obtaining a scholarship to the University.
Robyn has now seemingly confirmed their theory as she tweeted this week:
“Dayton decided to live at home during college and Aurora is planning on living at home while she goes to college so we can afford it.
When did Robyn and Kody get married?
Robyn Brown, 41, was previously married and had three children – Dayton, Aurora Alice, and Breanna Rose Preston.
Her ex-husband filed for divorce in 2007, but Robyn has since claimed that the decision was hers and that she ended her marriage because of abuse.
Robyn then met Kody in 2009 and got spiritually married in 2010 but legally in 2014.
Kody divorced Meri, his first wife, to be able to legally marry Robyn and adopt her three children.
Kody and Robyn eventually had two kids of their own, Solomon Kody and Arielle Mae.
How many wives does Kody have?
As of 2019, Kody has been married (formerly legally and now spiritually) to Meri for 30 years, Janelle (spiritually only) for 27 years, Christine (spiritually only) for 25 years, and Robyn (formerly spiritually and now legally) for 10 years.
In other words, Kody has four “wives” but is only legally married to Robyn as of now.
However, he still dates his “spiritual” wives as Christine mentioned she went on a date with him after Kody’s divorce from Meri.
The only legal marriages have been between Kody and Meri until their legal divorce in September 2014, and to Robyn in December 2014.
