HILLARY Clinton burst into laughter as she was jokingly asked by TV star Trevor Noah “how did you kill Jeffrey Epstein?”
The Daily Show host teased the former Democratic presidential nominee about the conspiracy surrounding Epstein’s suicide in jail.
After the paedo billionaire took his own life in prison in August, conspiracy nuts claimed Hillary and Bill Clinton were involved in his death.
Noah mocked this baseless speculation during an interview with Hillary and her daughter Chelsea on Thursday night.
“I have to ask you a question that has been plaguing me for a while: How did you kill Jeffrey Epstein?” Noah asked.
Hillary, 72, immediately started laughing along with the New York studio audience.
“Honestly, what does it feel like being the boogeyman to the right?” the host asked the ex-secretary of state.
“Well, it’s a constant surprise to me,” responded a chuckling Clinton.
“Because the things they say, and now, of course, it’s on steroids with being online, are so ridiculous, beyond any imagination that I could have,” she said.
“And yet they are so persistent in putting forth these crazy ideas and theories. Honestly, I don’t know what I ever did to get them so upset.”
Speculation about Epstein’s death went into overdrive this week after pathologist Dr. Michael Baden said the paedo’s autopsy was more consistent with homicide than suicide.
“Those three fractures are extremely unusual in suicidal hangings and could occur much more commonly in homicidal strangulation,” Baden told Fox & Friends on Wednesday.
The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday stood by its conclusion that Epstein’s death was caused by suicide by hanging.
In the days after Epstein’s death, one conspiracy theorist scrawled “XOXO Hillary + Bill” on the pavement outside the paedo’s Upper East Side townhouse.
The sign-off ‘XOXO’, meaning hugs and kisses, was popularised in the fictional TV show Gossip Girl which was set in the same area.
The ludicrous message came as the hashtag #ClintonBodyCount started trending on Twitter.
This phrase originated in 1993 with lawyer Linda Thompson, who compiled a list of 34 people connected to the Clintons who had passed away, according to Snopes.
She published the list using the headline “The Clinton Body Count: Coincidence or the Kiss of Death?”
Thompson admitted there is “no direct evidence” that the Clintons were responsible for any of the deaths.
EPSTEIN SUICIDE SPECULATION
US President Donald Trump fuelled the speculation by retweeting a conspiracy theory from actor Terrence K. Williams.
In the tweet, Terrence wrote: “Died of SUICIDE on 24/7 SUICIDE WATCH? Yeah right! How does that happen?
“Jeffrey Epstein had information on Bill Clinton & now he’s dead I see #TrumpBodyCount trending but we know who did this!
“RT if you’re not Surprised.
“#EpsteinSuicide #ClintonBodyCount #ClintonCrimeFamily.”
Former president Clinton has previously claimed he knew nothing about the crimes Epstein was recently charged with in New York.
His office admitted Clinton had taken a total of four trips on Epstein’s private plane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa.
But logs obtained by Fox News appear to show the former president took at least 26 trips aboard Epstein’s Boeing 727 from 2001 to 2003.
The aircraft was grimly nicknamed the “Lolita Express”.
