Doctor Who’s Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden in their original Time Lord costumes on Thursday.
The duo teamed up to judge a fans’ cosplay competition which saw them attempt to recreate some of their favourite characters from home.
Wearing her signature navy top with colourful stripes, Jodie said she was going to be “good cop”.
Dressed in his character’s suit and tie, David said he planned to be “ruthless”, adding that he was surprised his costume still fitted him “even after lockdown”.
Their surprise appearance comes after BBC boss Rhodri Talfan Davies revealed series 13 couldn’t be made with social distancing rules in place.
Speaking in an online Q&A, he explained: “It’ll be down to social distancing.
“A production like that, which at any point employs hundreds of people, freelance and stuff, I don’t believe can be made to the current standard in a socially distanced environment.
“So it depends when you think social distancing is going to end.”
However, Rhodri added the situation could vary depending on whether the show filmed in Wales or England, as the two countries have different guidelines regarding social distancing.
He said: “It may well be that the rules on social distancing in Wales are different to those in England.
“And obviously each production centre from those two countries is going to need to respond to the specific rules and regulations that each of the governments are introducing.”
Jodie Whittaker is set to return as the Time Lord, however Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are reportedly stepping down from their roles as Graham and Ryan.
Meanwhile Doctor Who has cast its first ever transgender companion for the Time Lord.
Rebecca Root, who starred in BBC sitcom Boy Meets Girl, will play Tania Bell in a new adventure starring Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann.
Tania will appear in Doctor Who: Stranded, an episode released by Big Finish, whose audiobooks are a continuation of the Time Lord’s adventures.
