Amazon Prime Rewards Card 2021 Review: 5% Amazon Cash Back

Top perks

Up to 5% back: This card earns an unlimited 5% back on all Amazon and Whole Foods purchases as long as you maintain your Amazon Prime membership. It also earns 2% back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores and 1% back on all other purchases. Rewards are earned as points that carry a value of $0.01 a piece. You can use your points for Amazon purchases or redeem them as cash back.

Instant $70 gift card: The card offers an instant $70 gift card upon approval. Although there are more lucrative offers among the best sign-up bonuses, this Amazon credit card still offers a respectable amount back. It’s also nice that you get the bonus upon approval and don’t need to meet any spending requirements.

No annual fee: The Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card is feature-packed, especially since it doesn’t charge an annual fee. To be fair, you do need an Amazon Prime membership to get the card, which has an annual cost of $119.

No foreign transaction fee: Take this card overseas with confidence. The card doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee, whereas other cards frequently charge a 3% foreign transaction fee.

Consumer and travel protections: This card offers several protections that can come in handy if anything goes wrong with a trip or purchase. For travel, the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card covers baggage delays, lost luggage, and travel accidents. On the consumer protection side, the card offers purchase protection, extended warranty coverage, and auto rental insurance.
